Pepper Elder with Beef Salad

After the festive season, it's a great opportunity to try new and nutritious dishes. Our pepper elder and beef salad is a delicious and healthy option made with lean Aussie beef and nutrient-rich vegetables like tomatoes and pepper elder. This dish is high in fiber, vitamins, and minerals, and it also promotes a healthy digestion by aiding in the treatment and prevention of digestive problems. It's a perfect way to nourish your body while enjoying a tasty meal.

Ingredients

  • 500 grams of flank steak
  • 500 grams of pepper elder
  • 100 grams of cherry tomatoes
  • One cup of minced garlic
  • One cup of minced shallot
  • One cup of minced chilli 
  • One cup of roasted peanuts
  • 1 tbsp of soya sauce
  • 5 tbsp of sugar
  • 5 tbsp of lemon juice
  • A bottle of cooking oil
  • A bottle of fish sauce
  • A half of an onion
  • 2 horn peppers
  • Seasoning seeds, pepper 
  • Boiled water

Method

Pre-processing:

  1. Dry the beef with absorbent paper, cut into bite-sized pieces.

  2. Marinate the beef with minced garlic + minced shallot + 1/2 tsp of seasoning seeds + 1/2 tsp of pepper + 1 tbsp soya sauce + 1 tbsp of cooking oil for about 15 minutes.

  3. Wash cherry tomatoes and cut them in half. Onions, washed and sliced. Cut horn pepper into small strands. 

  4. Wash pepper elder then leave to dry.

Make a sauce: 

  1. Add 5 tbsp of sugar + 4 tbsp of boiled water + 4 tbsp of fish sauce + 5 tbsp of lemon juice and stir evenly.

  2. Next, add minced chilli, garlic and stir evenly.

Processing:

  1. Place the pan on the stove and add 2 tablespoons oil.

  2. Add the onions and cook them once the oil is heated.

  3. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until it is underdone.

  4. Add the pepper elder in the bowl and put the fried beef on top.

  5. Put the cherry tomatoes and horn peppers in a basin.

  6. Add the sauce you've created and stir.

  7. Add some toasted peanuts as a topping.
